01

Order minimums,
splits & payment.

How orders are structured and what to expect commercially.

01

What is your minimum order quantity?

We offer flexible MOQ for new buyer relationships. For standard catalogue designs, trial quantities are available so you can assess quality before committing to a full order. For custom developments, MOQ varies by product type and construction — contact us with your requirement and we'll confirm the minimum for that specific item.
02

Can I split an MOQ across multiple designs or colourways?

In many cases, yes — especially for colourway splits on the same design (e.g. 150 m navy + 150 m black = 300 m order minimum). Whether the MOQ applies per design, per colourway, or per order depends on the specific product and construction. Confirm with us at brief stage and we'll advise the most flexible structure.
03

What payment terms do you offer?

Payment terms are discussed per-order, based on order size, buyer history, and destination country. For first orders we typically require a partial advance with the balance before dispatch. Established buyers may qualify for extended terms. We accept bank transfer (TT), LC, and other standard trade payment methods.
02

From brief to
approved sample.

How the development process works and what to expect at each stage.

01

How long does sampling take?

For designs from our existing library, samples are dispatched within approximately 7 working days from order confirmation. Custom development samples take 10–15 working days depending on complexity. We can arrange express courier for time-sensitive briefs.
02

What do I need to provide to start a trim development?

You can start with whatever you have — a physical reference, mood board, photograph, CAD file, or written brief. We confirm our understanding before sampling begins. The more detail you provide (construction, width, fibre, colour reference), the fewer sample rounds are needed.
03

How many revision rounds are included in sampling?

There is no fixed limit — we work until the sample meets your requirement. In practice, most developments resolve in 1–3 rounds. Each round takes 7–14 days from your feedback. Development sample cost (if charged) is credited against your first bulk order.
04

Do you offer custom / private label production?

Yes. Our in-house design centre handles full custom briefs — new Jacquard patterns, custom colourways, branded logo ribbon, custom width, and bespoke constructions. Share your reference, sketch, or colour code and we'll develop a proposal. Private label packaging is also available for retail-ready products.
05

Are custom designs and briefs kept confidential?

Yes. Custom designs developed for a buyer are not shared with or sold to other buyers. We treat all development briefs as confidential. If your programme requires a formal NDA before sharing designs, we can arrange one — request this before submitting your brief.
03

QC standards &
production capacity.

How we control quality and what 800,000 metres per month looks like in practice.

01

What happens if bulk production doesn't match the approved sample?

We perform in-house QC against the approved sample before every dispatch — checking colour (Delta E ≤ 1.5), width tolerance (± 0.5 mm), and construction consistency. If a deviation is found, we resolve it before dispatch. If an issue reaches you, contact us immediately with photographs and a description; we'll investigate promptly and arrange replacement or credit where the fault is ours.
02

How do you ensure colour consistency across bulk orders?

Every approved colourway is matched to a retained master sample and assigned a colour-lot reference. We check Delta E values against that master at each production run, and for repeat orders we reference the same specification to keep colour consistent across seasons.
03

What is your production capacity?

Our Surat facility runs approximately 800,000 metres per month across all product types. We operate multiple Jacquard looms, crochet machines, and embroidery units under one roof. For large or time-critical programmes, contact us at inquiry stage to confirm scheduling and capacity availability.

42+ countries,
door to door.

Documentation, logistics, and freight options for international buyers.

01

Which countries do you export to?

We currently export to 42+ countries across 4 continents — including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, USA, Canada, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh, Australia, and Singapore. We work with established freight forwarders and can handle documentation for both small parcel shipments and full container loads.
02

What export documents do you provide with shipments?

Standard documentation includes: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading / airway bill, and certificate of origin. GST-paid invoices are available for Indian GST-registered buyers. For LC-based transactions we provide all documents required by the LC terms. Additional documents (test reports, phytosanitary, etc.) can be arranged on request — advise your requirements at order stage.
03

Do you handle freight and logistics, or do we arrange our own?

Either. We have preferred freight partners for courier (DHL, FedEx, Aramex) and sea/air freight, and can book on your behalf with costs charged at cost. Alternatively, if you have an established forwarder or preferred carrier, we'll coordinate dispatch to their instructions. For large programmes, buyers often nominate their own forwarder; we provide the commercial invoice and packing details they need.

Getting started
with Lami Trims.

First contact, factory visits, and what makes us different.

01

What information should I include in my first enquiry?

The more specific your brief, the faster we can respond accurately. Helpful details: product type (Jacquard ribbon, crochet lace, fringe, etc.), width, material preference (metallic, cotton, polyester, etc.), colour reference or code, estimated quantity, and your target delivery timeline. Reference images or sketches are always welcome.
02

Can I visit your factory in Surat?

Yes — factory visits are welcome for serious buyers and sourcing partners. Please arrange in advance by emailing us or messaging on WhatsApp. Our facility is in Surat, Gujarat — easily accessible from Surat railway station or airport. We're also present at select trade fairs; contact us to arrange a meeting at an upcoming event.
03

Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

We are a direct manufacturer. All products are woven, embroidered, or assembled in our own facility in Surat. No middlemen or third-party subcontractors are involved in our core product range. This gives us full control over quality, lead time, and development — and means the price you pay reflects production cost, not a trading margin.
